My 10yr old also wears them every night, and as she is autistic she also uses them in loud places like the cinema or live shows etc... as they dull the uncomfortable noises/ volume but you can still hear the show. These are comfortable, and usually stay in all night, only occasionally fall out if not inserted properly (but I keep spares next to the bed). Also, I can still hear the alarm when it goes off. They are also good if you work from home and need quiet. Not perfect, but pretty close.
