The thickness and size and shape is perfect. And I can even use it for leg exercises. And most importantly the edges do not curl up! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very sturdy mat *by N***B on April 10, 2023* This mat goes more for durability than comfort which is exactly what you want in a jump rope mat instead of a ton of cushion. I find the size to be perfect for jump rope. I keep mine flattened out all the time so I don't know how well it will do being rolled up after each use. When mine was new out of the box I had to unroll it and put weight plates on it over night to get it perfectly flat. One minor feature I found kind of clever is the long ends are slightly cupped downward so there is no way for the mat to catch your jump rope.
