There are no vents in the inserts, but are straight tubes which are rather uncomfortable. My husband tried them, he said it was comfortabley soft, and not a nuisance at night. I noticed a big difference in his snoring. He still snores, but not as long or as loud as before using the nasal vent. We are in the process of trying another product along with the nasal vents.
