Review: Great Poncho, buy it! - Read reviews and this poncho met and exceeded expectations. I needed a light but good poncho for archery hunting in the monsoons in northern arizona. This poncho is not very loud, very pliable, held up great in heavy rain with no leaks through the fabric, very light to carry for the just in case storm. What I like best is the size. I am 5'10", 170lbs, and during down poor poncho covered me with a small to med size day pack on my back, and bow at side while reaching down to ankles. Legs stayed dry. When I sat, everything including feet were covered. Bow stayed dry. The best coverage I have ever had in a poncho. Not too big either. Just right. As far as the reviews concerning only three buttons per side this is typical of any ponch and no more or less an issue with this one. If you have an issue just use sticky velcro as liberal as you want to close up the caps. I did, and worked great in wind and rain. Although the material is lightweight it is sturdy due to ripstop nylon and double coat of poly. Buy it. You won't regret it. Camo pattern also was surprisingly very good. My buddy said it blended in well. Probably going to buy another for back up as usually when i find something this good at a great price they sell out and become not available.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good value poncho, bad stuffsack

The poncho itself has been quite useful, especially for the price. It's a nice bridge between the cheap plastic bag things and a nicer, lighter silnylon poncho. It's not going to pack as small as either being a PU coated nylon but it's small enough. It has grommets which is the main reason I bought this over a frog tog and that's been really useful so I can use it as an emergency shelter. I don't think the poncho is wide enough to use well with a poncho liner and it's really not well setup to use as a makeshift sleeping bag either. It is simple to put up for some shade or shelter from the sun or rain when that's needed and it works well as a ground sheet. I've used it mostly as a ground sheet for several weeks so that this can do multiple duties as a ground sheet, rain coverage while moving, be hung up as used as a tarp makes it a pretty versatile piece of gear. You could use it as a cover on a sleeping bag too if you already had something overhead and underneath of you but I don't think you'll be able to roll completely up in it like some of the mil-surplus ponchos. You could easily get 3/4 coverage like a quilt and that would certainly help take the edge off of the wind, like using a bivy. I haven't tried it as an underquilt yet but that could be another use for this for trips when I want to hang instead of sleep on the ground. For the current price, I've found this to be a great value and have a few now. I just throw the included stuff sack away and just skip a stuff sack altogether or I'll end up using a gallon ziplock and packing flat if I feel the need to have it in a separate bag.
