I have had 3 surgeries for basil cell carcinoma on my face and my with my last surgery I had the silicone gel sheeting recommended for my scarring. I waited the full 3 weeks after having my sutures removed to start using the sheets. These are small but wide and I was able to cut them to fit. I wore my first strip for a full 24 hours with my first use, I was comfortable wearing it out in public because they are not intrusive at all. I was blown away when I removed the very first one! I would have never believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes! I want to stress that the site needs to be completely clean and dry for these to adhere properly, especially on the face. My last incision line runs directly down by my nose to just beside my mouth so I didn't want it to come lose with eating and drinking. Unfortunately, they did not work very well for me. First, they are not very sticky. Second, they are thick so combined with the lack of stickiness, they roll up and fall off. Third, they are not the right size. They are too large for the scars, so I had to cut them.
