I have always wanted to paint something fun on the walls, but was hesitant because of their changing interests.My boys are 5 and 6 1/2 and I wanted to find something that wasn't too babyish, but I didn't want realistic animals either. These monkeys are just perfect. They're cartoonish enough to be fun but not at all babyish. In the right light, they actually look like they're painted on.They are very easy to apply (and reapply if you change your mind). The options are wide open too, since all of the pieces come separately. Since I just put them up I can't say anything about their durability, but they're up at the ceiling level, so I know the kids won't be peeling at them.The best part is that if they decide they're tired of the monkeys (which I don't think will be for a LONG time) I can take them down. My 7 yr old daughter did almost all the work, and it was a great project for her and me to do together (she has Autism, so doing this mostly by herself was another activity that gave her satisfaction and belonging). In the few cases where we had to reposition a decal, they came off and reapplied easily with no loss of adhesion. Lots of decals to creatively arrange.
