Good zips, but the buckles that take up the slack when they are empty or only part loaded work loose a bit easily. Not an issue, the bags don't flap around, and so don't really need them anyway. Keeps the weight low and close to the centreline without taking up any seat space, soft backing to minimise panel damage, and well built. The outside pocket isn't pleated, so getting stuff in and out when the bags are full isn't easy, so mine don't get used. If they were fully waterproof they'd be perfect, but then they'd be far more expensive. Not used them in all day rain yet, but showers and sensible jet washing hasn't soaked through to the inside. I use a plastic bag as a liner just in case. They're water RESISTANT **Q: Can you return if doesn’t fit bike the way I want?** A: Yes **Q: I have the Tusk saddle bags, can I purchase the extra small dry tail bag seperatly?** A: Yes you can. It's the 22 liter side load dry duffel bag. There is also a 10 liter though I returned it as it was simply too small to even hold my soft sided insulated lunch/6pack carrier. The 22liter hits the sweet spot in both size, function and appearance and I can attest from some overnight camping in torrential rain that it is waterproof. The Traverse packs, however, are only good against mild rain. **Q: Can the pannier bags be used without the dry duffel? also does everything fit on a drz400 with the stock tool kit on the back?** A: Can definitely be used without the duffel. Not sure on DRZ fit, but they work on a KTM 300, CRF450 and WR250, so I imagine they will just fine.
