The zip fastening was snug on me but loosened up with wear. I'm a size 8 and usually wear a wide fit shoe. They have a great chunky tread on them too. Comfortable and tough enough for British winters. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy and waterproof *by A***N on 3 January 2023* I used to have the most amazing snow boots, which were bought in Canada ages ago, they were very warm, lightweight, comfortable and waterproof. I used them every winter while living in the Rockies for over a decade. When I moved to the U.K., I stupidly left them behind, so I shopped around for something similar but not horribly expensive, I settled on these, I originally ordered my size, since the reviews all said they come fairly generous in size, well that was a mistake. They fit like a glove, which wouldn’t allow me to wear thick socks, luckily the return was super easy and I order the next size up. This time I had plenty of room for thick winter socks, which is a must for me. I have been wearing them regularly for walks and they feel more comfortable now than the first couple of times I wore them, no chafing, absolutely no water ingress anywhere and my feet are protected from the cold. The downsides are that they are heavy and not very flexible, so not exactly the best walking shoes, the zipper is a bit dodgy and can catch very easily, so one has to be careful when doing it up. Also, they look a bit erm…shall we say industrial?
