Review: Takes you to the next level. - I had purchased one 4 years ago and another 1 month ago from desertcart.com but had them installed last week. Both work well, the one kept in cold storage too. I'm a diy guy. I built my entire rig with a fire tv and a local decoder. I used pre and power amplifiers that I built designed by people like Dr. Borivoje Jagodic and Rod Elliott. The nett result was something out of this world with fantastic music fidelity good bass and pleasing highs. The bass from the movies were real good with a punch. But being a diyer I was not satisfied and built a low frequency extender, a subwoofer equaliser and bought a Class D module power amp to feed a pair of Aurasound shakers. Wow! that took me to the next level with the recliner chairs vibrating to the lowest notes only and made it a really immersive experience. I just love it and so do my family members and friends who have experienced it. It just adds to your enjoyment . Worth your while to purchase it.

**Q: Can I just hook one of these into the Preamp output on my amp and attach to my chair.  I will be using it in my audio system, not home theater.**
A: Gary these transducers are rated at 50 watts. A preamp output is not what you should consider for driving this load.  Think Amplifier not Preamp!  An amp that is capable of more than 30 to 35 watts should be best suited for this purpose.  If you download the manual for this product you can find warnings not to surpass the 50 watt per unit rating.  All* of those prior answers were Internet noise.  #1. Neither helpful nor informative #2. Borderline helpful but not informative #3. What? & Wrong! #4.* I might be too hard on Sara.  She is right to drive a group of these with hundreds of watts of power and Sara is also correct in guessing that the low preamp power will not work with the Bass Shaker.  My contention with her response is that the harm of testing is that it is a complete waste of time.  It is sort of trying to see if your toaster will work without power.  How could it?

**Q: Is the enclosure made out of metal or plastic?**
A: It is definately metal.  Weighs close to 5 lbs. (2.3 Kg)

**Q: The product description says the shaker is 5.4" wide - is this accurate? What is the spacing for the mounting holes?**
A: The outside diameter to the fins is 156mm or 6.14".  The bolt hole circle diameter is 143.5mm or 5.65".  It will take a #8 screw.  The actual vibrating area on the bottom is 130mm or 5.1".

**Q: What's the best amp to use with these? Cheap but decent quality preferred...**
A: Parts express has several amps that are good, they are made by Dayton audio.  They have a new one that looks nice, APA150.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Huge home theater upgrade for a very small cost.

I purchased a pair of these tactile transducers to mount in my home theater seats. The impact is incredible! Don't get me wrong, I have a 15" servo subwoofer that will easily rattle the windows if I want it to; however, it still doesn't provide the experience that these little beauties provide. The experience is most akin to a high end movie theater where you feel the bass throughout your body. The lowest frequencies can't be heard anyway, but feeling them immediately improves the movie experience dramatically. To hook them up, I split my subwoofer out cable and ran one to my subwoofer, and the other split to a cheap stereo amplifier to the CD input. The result is that the signal coming into my 2nd amplifier includes only the low frequencies as established by my crossover in my 1st amp, which is set to 80hz. I hooked the bass shakers to the 2nd amp speaker outputs and can now adjust the "volume" of the bass shakers by using the volume control on the 2nd amp. Even with my volume turned down quite a ways, the bass shakers provide the illusion of an enveloping sound field and live action. I couldn't be happier with these products. I actually had to turn them way down since they shake so much. You don't need a much more expensive solution since these will output more shake than you'll ever need. I turned them way down because initially they shook too much and created a very artificial experience. With them turned down, they are much more subtle, yet they still shake my theater seats quite a bit.
