I do use it myself to pull up my medical history at the doctor's office. The information engraved in band should be filled with white rubber to be read by mere mortals, so a wallet card is good backup.The online storage and recall of medical history is a great feature. You can enter your full history and only make part of it accessible by the code associated with the band, which is nice.I haven't worn a watch in years and was concerned about wearing a wrist band, but it is comfortable and I usually forget about it. The fasteners are metal studs that go through holes in band. (I think I've seen something similar for scuba equipment) Takes a bit of manual dexterity and finger strength to push them through, but once it's on there is no reason to remove it as you can clean it as you shower. It's non-conductive, which is good for someone like me who works with electricity.Yet to see how long the medic alert graphic holds up.I'd say it is definitely worth the money.Followup:The graphic is wearing off and the outermost stud has failed on the original and replacement band that the manufacturer sent for free when the first one failed. I just opened another ticket, so I'll see if they send me another.I purchased a two sided 20 line dog tag style necklace to back this up and put the HealthID.com info on the back side.BTW, I am now a volunteer EMR and everyone in EMS I show this thinks it is the slickest thing ever made. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Some drawbacks... *by A***E on Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2015* Pros: it was very easy to get on the website and load my information, and a quick test with my smartphone shows it works great. It's very easy to adjust the size and the fit is secure.Cons: Now that I have it on my wrist, I am not really sure that EMS would recognize this as a medical alert bracelet...it just doesn't stand out AT ALL. It's a black rubber band with a fairly small, slightly blurry white medical graphic that only says NFC TAP. I think a better graphic might actually say MEDICAL ALERT or something similar somewhere. To me it just looks like a fashion rubber bracelet and I imagine it could be easily overlooked by EMS more familiar with traditional bright silver bracelets with bright red emblems. Secondly, the unique medical ID number imprint that EMS without NFC should be able to type in to find your medical info is not highlighted at all and impossible to see unless you are specifically looking for it.
