I was recently looking for a new practice pad and ran across this one here on Amazon. I was intrigued by the "two sides-two feels" claim, and after reading some of the reviews decided to give it a try. It arrived quickly and was well packaged. I immediately pulled out my Tama Roadpro snare stand and gave it a try. I was in love from the very first paradiddle. This pad is very well made, looks great and seems as though it will hold up well over time. It is sturdy and weighs just enough to be stable sitting on the table instead of my stand.The two sides: The grey or gum rubber side has a slightly textured surface, is very quite and offers excellent rebound. The black side has a firmer feel to it. It is definitely louder than the grey side and offers less in the way of rebound. I like this side when practicing rudiments as the lack of rebound really makes you work at it.I would recommend this practice pad to any drummer. I would highly recommend this pad to anyone looking for a quiet way to practice and beginning drummers. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Practice Pad with crisp defined articulation *by 1***3 on April 19, 2025* The Evans Attacktile is excellent. Cleaner and more defined articulation than the Evans Real feel practice pad. Has some rebound and is not overly spongy. Similar to a snare tuned mid-high. The surface is easy to keep clean. Also, the pad is not too heavy to travel with. I hope they make a 6” and a larger round one with a rim. The noise level is higher than the basic RealFeel and higher in pitch, but not so loud that it would disturb others in a different room. Not quite as glass like as the Vic Firth slim pad which is even better for crisp high bpm practice. Buy one of the AttackTile pads today and you’ll be very happy with it! It is a step up from the Evans basic RealFeelPad. Using Pads and sticks that you like will lead to more practice time , so it’s well worth the investment.
