Really speeds up meal prep for us! *by K***8 on July 1, 2022* Let’s get the PSA out of the way, treat every attachment as you would a knife. They are all VERY sharp. So, just keep in mind as you handle the attachments or cutting small pieces while holding with your fingers. Should be a no-brainer, but seems like some people forget or don’t understand that.With that out of the way, let me say that this cuts fruits and vegetables quickly, effortlessly, and with no damage to the food. Lots of attachments to slice, dice and chop vegetables. There are total of 7 interchangeable blades: 14x14 and 7x7 (mm) dicing blades, ricing blade, 4 & 3 (mm) shredding blades, 2 (mm) slicing blade and a potato lattice blade. This is sort of an all-in-one kit, so it won’t have as many different size attachments as a dedicated tool like a mandoline slicer, that normally comes with 6 – 8 blades. The slicing/shredding blades work well and are the more common sizes and use them for preparing vegetables for stir-fry or cold salads and for shredding blocks of cheese. When using it as a mandoline, please use the included holder so your fingers aren’t near the blade. That’s what it is for, if you choose to use your fingers, just be very careful.The chopping blades also work well. Just cut up your food into pieces that will fit on the blade. Hold the handle with one hand and push the lever down. For most vegetables, it doesn’t take much force since you’re not cutting a whole onion or potato. My wife loves the chopping blades for making salsa. The tomatoes, onions, chilis come out in perfect and a fraction of the time it would take her to cut completely by hand. She says it looks like it was done by a professional chef.Several other accessories are included that are not directly related to cutting. There is an egg white filter, a hard plastic comb which is used to clean off the stuck-on food, a drain and a strainer basket. We’ve found the strainer basked useful. You can put it into the contain before cutting and when you are done, just take the strainer out to either rinse out our food or if you are cutting things that are watery, you can remove the items from the juice without having to transfer it to a strainer.The slicer and attachments are plastic, except for the blades, but plastic feels sturdy and seems like they would hold up well. Clean up is easy, but again, just be careful of the blades. The whole kit is very versatile and for the price, does a good job.
