If you unplug it and plug it back in, do you need the remote to turn it back on?** A: if on a timer and LED is on and timer shuts off light should shut off and timer come back on LED should turn on **Q: I have a larger squirrel tree frog paludarium (36in deep). I need the light to hit at least 25 inches for lowlight plants. Will this work?** A: this LED will hit the 18 to 25-inch area and do moss further down. Depending on the types of plants if plants are the thing you're doing I would recommend the Fluval Plant LED. Or if the growth is not doing what you're wanting then add a second unit. This way you're hitting the bottom better **Q: Is this light ok to use in an 18x18x18 enclosure which has dart frogs and plants?** A: Yes. It will work with an 18x18x18 tank.
