It clearly states it’s a massage oil. I don’t think it would have any benefits in water. **Q: Is this water based? The scent is soft but that's relative to folks who may be sensitive to scents. It's quite lovely. It wouldn't over power any perfume or body spray. As many reviewers mentioned, there is a challenge with the pump. It doesn't seem to have the mechanics to unlock, maybe a production flaw. Despite that one small annoyance ots a great product.
