I can finally take advantage of the full capability of my internet speed, as I went from an average of 40 Mbps with my original card, which could only connect on 2.4 Ghz, to an average of 150 Mbps on 5 Ghz with the 6300AGN. Also, here's some info that might be useful: with the three wire connection on my T530 (and I'm assuming all Lenovo computers that use the 6300AGN), the gray wire goes to TR1 (MAIN), black goes to TR2 (AUX), and white goes to TR3 (RO). Laslty, be sure to get the most recent driver software directly from the Intel site. As of this review's date, the most recent update for the 6300AGN is the version dated 10/1/2017. I'd insert a link here, but Amazon doesn't allow it, so just Google "Intel 6300AGN driver" and it should come up as one of the first results. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Very Nice Wi-Fi Upgrade for T430 *by W***E on Reviewed in the United States on December 13, 2019* Tricky install, but ultimately successful... so read this post for helpful info. I did a ton of research on this before buying to make sure it was compatible (whitelisted). And it works great on my T430 running Windows 7 Pro. My Internet router clocks 300+ up/down on my Fiber Internet 300. For my previous factory wifi card on T430, I was getting only 30-50 MB down/up (sometimes as low as 10 mbps). After installing the Intel Ultimate-n 6300AGN, my speed is 200 MB down/up. It's a cheap investment as long as you don't mess up your laptop during the install. YouTube has a great video that shows exactly how to get to the wifi card (but shows a card with only 2 antennas) . Lenovo site shows what to look for with both 2 and 3 antenna cards. The factory wifi card has only 2 antennas. Intel Ultimate-n 6300AGN has 3 antennas. In the T430, the 3rd antenna wire is there... it's just tucked away unused. Installing the hardware wasn't difficult (but I've been down in the guts of my T430 before). My only problem was that Windows 7 did not recognize the new card and did not install the drivers when I booted up. I used Device Manager to search for new hardware, and it definitely found "something", but Windows didn't know what it was. I tried Windows update device drivers, and obviously that didn't work. I also downloaded the Intel Driver & Support Assistant didn't detect the wifi card either. Finally, I tried using Lenovo ThinkVantage System Update and it worked!!! And the drivers installed were the latest ones available from Intel (2015). During my driver challenge, I was directly plugged into my internet router in order to get out to the internet... so you better make sure that works before messing with your wifi card. FYI - A previous posts said they didn't have any problems with Windows recognizing the new card and installing the correct drivers, so maybe the person was on Windows 10 and it doesn't have this problem. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So far so good. *by H***D on Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2018* Installation was pretty smooth. After swapping out the old card, I attempted to install the drivers. The installation process seemed to lag for a while, and I forced a system shutdown. I then started the machine back up and did a full reboot (Windows 10 only does a partial reboot unless you choose to restart). Upon restarting, the card was working. I then went through the installation process again, and it completed in short order. Perhaps I was just being impatient during the first installation attempt, or perhaps there was some hangup. Either way, it ended up working fine.The card that came with my Thinkpad T530 would stop working intermittently. Upon doing some research, I found that this was a known problem. The new card seems to be faster, although speed was never really the issue (the issue was reliability). If I have any issues with this card, I'll update my review.
