In order to cut the beams smoothly and with a high precision in length you need professional/industrial quality equipment. The beams have a hollow core and are tapped 8mm deep both ends. I plan on using them in future projects. The beams are solidly made and had no warping or bends. They are also center drilled all the way through and tapped at both ends to receive M3 size screws.
