They were a little snug at first, but they were comfortable after a few minutes. Clipping my toe nails helped.These are very interesting shoes. Five stars because I got exactly what I expected to get, but I am not sure yet if the style suits me. I was planning to wear them at the beach, but now that I am getting used to them, I think they will see more wear than that. I really don't feel like taking them off right now. I have been wearing these shoes a LOT the past couple days and here is what I noticed. They are comfortable, and they protect your feet well. I wore them while hosing off the back patio, and they dried quickly and I felt they were a good thing to wear for that job.I bought the beige color, and they look fine with shorts and capri pants. They kind of match my skin and it looks like I have bare feet, or at least they don't stand out and look weird. But they do look kind of funny with jeans. They poke out under my boot-cut jeans and look like hobbit feet. I am thinking the blue ones would look better with jeans. I'm also thinking I need 2 pair of these.Bottom line is, once I started wearing these shoes, all my other shoes seem like an inferior substitute for what I wish I was wearing. ### ⭐⭐⭐ and ball of the foot area would have been even worse, because it would have elongated that area even ... *by S***W on December 14, 2015* The problem that I have with these shoes is that they ball of the foot portion appears to be too far forward, so that it takes away by elongation so that it removes support from the arch. They are also too short in all of the toes[ trimming my already well groomed toe nails way way back did help some, but of course now my toes hurt... So they are too short in the toes compared to all the other toe shoes that I have tried, and yet they are a 39, while the others are 38.I would suggest others to up 2 sizes rather than one size as what I did. Except that had I gone up two sizes the whole fit around the arch support area, and ball of the foot area would have been even worse, because it would have elongated that area even more. I really love the style, and lower price, so I am hoping that I can get used to them by putting them on for a few minutes each day. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ BEST SHOE *by V***R on February 24, 2015* I LOVE these shoes!!!
