Waterproof & Smell proof - I love my large Time Capsule container! I've had one for almost 5 years and still does it's job valiantly after opening and closing many, many times, taking a few drops, cold & hot weather.... anything time can throw at it...... Within reason of course. I never drove over it in a truck or anything but this thing is tough. Solidly built, great design and a beast of an "O" ring. Mine still hasn't dry rotted. To prolong the life of the gasket, you can lube up the purple "o" ring to avoid dry rotting.......Chapstick or Vaseline works sufficiently. I had to pick up another Time Capsule..... they've got a ton of uses!
