It thinks I have Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder - NOT insomnia. I don't have a problem sleeping - I have a problem sleeping at *the right time*. I will continue to sleep later and later, easily. So it told me to try taking 0.3-0.5 mg 3.5-4 hours before my intended bedtime. I saw that these pills were 0.3mg and took it that way. I get that using ChatGPT for this stuff can be "dangerous", but I'm not paying to go to go a sleep doctor and taking less than a child's dose didn't seem like a big risk. First night - knocked out immediately. ChatGPT said this is normal. Melatonin is just a sleep SIGNALER. Not a sedative. But people act like it's a sedative so they try to take larger doses. But it said after a few days it'll peter out, and it did. My body was just super tired and it took the signal and ran. Over a few days, I wasn't as tired and didn't knock out as soon as I took it. Now I take it 4 hours before bed, same time every day, and start winding my day down. No blue lights after I take it, no exercise, no stimulating activities. Use the evening as a relaxation period. That's been a difficult life adjustment but ultimately feels great. And I realized how many activities I was doing in the evening that worked against my circadian rhythm. This supplement works great, feels gentle, I don't feel groggy or anything in the morning. I feel like a plug-and-play person in the morning lol. Which is new for me. So!
