## Description

Supply Giant Flexible Couplings have found wide acceptance among sewer and plumbing contractors and municipalities because of their quality and ease of installation. Supply Giant pipe couplings and adapters are used for all types of in-house and sewer connections: drain, waste, vent piping, house-to-main, repairs, cut-ins, conductor, roof drains and increasers-reducers. Manufacturing thousands of different flexible coupling types, Supply Giant has the right solution for most applications. Made of tough elastomeric polyvinyl chloride (PVC), the flexible couplings are strong, resilient and unaffected by soil conditions. They are also resistant to chemicals, ultraviolet rays, fungus growth, and normal sewer gases due to the inert nature and physical properties of the PVC material. Supply Giant flexible couplings are leak-proof, rot-proof and seal against infiltration and exfiltration, giving you confidence in your pipe connections. ## Questions & Answers

**Q: What are the ID of the 2 x 1 1/4 rubber coupling?**
A: 1 and 1/4 x 2 are the size if inner diameters

**Q: Is it possible to use for car exhaust**
A: I wouldn't. Exhaust pipes get hot and this isn't heat resistant.

**Q: Will it melt?**
A: I want to know this answer as well. It doesn't say in the specs what temperature is allowed, neither transient nor continuous. From Wikipedia: The heat stability of raw PVC is very poor, so the addition of a heat stabilizer during the process is necessary in order to ensure the product's properties. Traditional product PVC has a maximum operating temperature around 60 °C (140 °F) when heat distortion begins to occur.[25] Melting temperatures range from 100 °C (212 °F) to 260 °C (500 °F) depending upon manufacture additives to the PVC. The linear expansion coefficient of rigid PVC is small and has good flame retardancy, the limiting oxygen index (LOI) being up to 45 or more. The LOI is the minimum concentration of oxygen, expressed as a percentage, that will support combustion of a polymer and noting that air has 20% content of oxygen.

**Q: 2” to 1 1/4” adapter Is bigger inside opening than stated. Can a 1 1/4” p trap seal correctly?**
A: I used to connect 2” to 1 1/2”. Both pipe were schedule 40. A P trap is normally a lighter schedule. You may need and adapter from 1 1/4” P trap to 1 1/4” schedule 40.
