Review: Cute statue and thoughtful gift - Bought one of these for myself and one as a gift for a friend. It's a super cute figurine/mini statue of 3 Jizo monks. really had my eye on a giant Jizo for the yard, but I'm happy I went for the opposite extreme with this small one. I originally wanted something to sit in the garden. I knew it would be small, so I thought it would look cute next to some plants and protect the yard. However, I ended up keeping it indoors where I'm closer to it because it's adorable and reminds me of my three kids. My friend also opted to keep hers indoors on her mantle, to represent herself and her two sons. Jizo are, so sayeth the Google, protectors of children, mothers and travelers (amongst other things), so I thought it made for a thoughtful gift for a fellow mom, as well as a cute protection totem for my own family. They have a solid feel, but aren't heavy, and are a nice neutral shade and texture that looks nice in different decor.
