It works fast and it works thoroughly, with very little effort. While i do feel a very tolerable warming sensation on my sensitive skin, it is far from anything close to 'burning'. I'm not sure what you mean by 'regular arnica gel'. the only other product I tried was Boiron Arnica Gel, which worked, but not near as well and quickly.
