This author really 'gets it'. Highly recommend. Wish I'd found it earlier. Wish he'd written it years ago, too, perhaps some of her anxiety could have been avoided if I'd known then what I know now. I'm a teacher with over 20 years experience, I'd say every teacher absolutely needs to read this. The trauma caused daily by ill-informed teachers to autistic children is horrendous, this book would certainly positively inform their practice. I'm going to buy the adult version now.

I bought this for my 17 year old. It's amazing to read about things that just 'fit' for her life and school experiences. I felt completely validated and almost in tears as I read it. This author really 'gets it'. Highly recommend. Wish I'd found it earlier. Wish he'd written it years ago, too, perhaps some of her anxiety could have been avoided if I'd known then what I know now.
