Seat bottom has a nylon strap that screws into the box so that it won't slip. I have yet to take it for a mountain ride with a passenger but I have confidence that it will work just fine and it has a good amount of room for trunk storage. Good product. Know before you buy that this requires the buyer to drill holes in the bottom of the trunk according to the back rack on your ATV. I installed it on a Rincon 680. After that you must install is using U shaped brackets/U Bolts and wing nuts. You need to check out the best mounting points on your vehicle.
