It’s ready to take on a variety of cutting applications. The 20V MAX 6-1/2 in. Circular Saw combines performance and versatility and features a powerful brushless motor that delivers 4,950 rpm for fast, accurate, and consistent cutting. Tool-free depth and bevel adjustments provides a max depth of cut of 2-1/8 in. at 90° along with a max bevel of 50°. This saw is equipped with a built-in rafter hook, bright LED, and optional dust chute.

Review: The form factor of the saw is ideal for me. Very pleased with the choice and the price! - I received the DCS565B (tool-only option) saw in an unmarked brown box. Along with the saw, I found the dust chute attachment, and the wrench snugly sitting in the holder on the right side of the saw's handle. Additionally, there were the usual paperwork and documents (manuals and notice sheets) However, I initially thought the T18 rippling blade was missing. The unmarked brown packaging made me doubtful about the saw's authenticity. Two days later, I carefully checked the packaging again and found the Dewalt 6-1/2" T18 ripping saw blade press-packed in a brown cardboard sheet, which had initially seemed like scrap cardboard. The 6-1/2" saw is just the right size and weight for me, and with all items accounted for, I am very pleased with the purchase.
Review: Terribly weak - Very weak. So weak in fact that when I tried to cut timber the blade would come to a halt but the motor continued to spin. I was only 2cm into the cut before it stopped. Unless it can be fixed by Dewalt I won't be changing my rating.

**Q: Is there a noticable difference in power with this brushless saw vs the original model with brushed motor?  I'm wondering if its worth upgrading.**
A: A brushless motor is more powerful, efficient and longer lasting. No maintenance, replacing the brushes.

**Q: If your left handed can you use this saw?, does Dewalt make one you can use if you are left handed?**
A: You can still use this if your left handed, this is a “blade left” saw being that the blade is on the left side of the motor. If your looking for a “blade right” saw check out the dcs573. Dewalt dosent make a blade right 6 1/2 inch circular saw that I know of. Hope this helps

**Q: Does it cut trex/composite deck boards?**
A: I have cut a lot of things with my saw, but not deck boards. However, my experience with composite lumber is that it is soft and easily cut. Also, given the correct blade, the saw should be able to cut pretty much anything.

**Q: Why wont my saw spin, all i hear is a click even with compatible battery  (20 v).is there a saftey feature that im not aware of?**

I really like this little cordless circular saw. Works great and less bulky than a plug-in circular saw, cuts are no problems. I did upgrade the blade to a Diablo blade though and that seems to work a little bit better than the original
