The pen is short in length however the weight is very smoothly distributed thoughout the pen. The converter holds less ink as it's small in size and needs to be purchased separately (Con-40). However, as the writing experience is fabulous I would definitely recommend this pen!! 4.5 Star from my side. Please go with the medium drill nib version atleast, as the medium drill writes on the finer side - (0.5 mm). With a fine nib the writing might be too feeble and non-prominent.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: can this pen come with an extra fine nib or just a fine nib?**
A: This particular pen is a medium nib, which is close to a western fine.  If you want an xf, there is a fine that is sold an that is close to a western xf.  Pilot does additionally make an xf nib (wester xxf) but I don't know that it is available on this pen without outfitting in custom yourself.

**Q: What comes with this pen?**
A: It comes in a Pilot box and a cartridge with black ink is included.

**Q: Does this pen- include the converter?**
A: No, the older version of the Prera (with the solid color body) does not include a converter, although it does ship with one Pilot ink cartridge.  You can order a converter separately and both the Pilot CON-20 and CON-50 converters will work in this pen.  The newer Pilot Prera pens (these are the clear demonstrator versions) do ship with a CON-50.

**Q: Are these supposed to come in bags? I usually get them in boxes.**
A: It has been years since I got mine, but it did come in a box.

I have been using it for a week. This is a small entry level fountain pen and is designed to write comfortably. It would be good if they provide this model with appropriate converter. The CON-40 converters (screw type ones) available for this model are not comfortable and are low capacity.
