Though, I must admit, my obsession led to a funny incident with my parents getting fed up with the beeping and, well, let's just say my Tamagotchi had an unexpected adventure. I had hoped to pass on the Tamagotchi love to my niece for Christmas, but she's a bit too young for the responsibility. So, i had to send it back to desertcart for now, waiting for the perfect moment in a few years when she's ready for the digital pet experience. In the meantime, I can't help but feel that inevitable pull—I'll probably end up getting another one for myself someday. After all, nostalgia is a powerful thing!

**Q: Does the screen stay on the Tamagotchi always? I notice I can switch the display to show my pet or the time clock but the screen never goes blank**
A: yes! the screen stays on constantly, even when your tamagotchi dies the screen will stay on the dead pet until revived, leading you back to the egg screen and so forth. theres no real way to turn the screen “off”.

Tamagotchis hold a special place in my heart—I was obsessed! This clearly states new gen - even on the packaging.. If you thought for even five seconds this seller was going to hop ina time machine and mail you a Japanese toy from the 90s???? That’s a you problem 😂😅 anyways this thing is adorable! Can’t wait to receive mine :)
