Review: Nice piece of kit - Very impressive solid piece of kit at a good price. Very well packaged and presented. Bought to replace a venerable Sony Discman so a lot to live up to. I use it for work so it has to be idiot-proof and reliable, which it promises to be. Very solid and well engineered (and made in Cambridge! Hurrah). Excellent sound quality, EQ options and controls. Nice carry case. Haven't tried the supplied in-ear phones, but the sound through my Samson headphones is terrific. Battery life excellent so far. Niggles: the digital display looks rather old-fashioned (and/or Chinese?). The player pauses/hiccups between CD tracks, which when you're listening to a continuous work, e.g. an opera, is decidedly intrusive and unwanted. The instructions are printed very small, so that e.g. the icons in the illustrations are impossible to decipher. Backup AA batteries would be nice. The FM radio is a bonus and sounded good, but didn't seem to pick up many stations. But I'll still give it 5 stars as I am very impressed!
Review: A great little unit. - Terrific little CD player. I can find only one problem that I’ve had with this unit in so much that it’s not Bluetooth compatible with my Jabra’s 75t’s. However, I’ve had absolutely no problem connecting it with a sound bar and it even picked up my Sony Smart TV when I was first setting it up. I’m not that tech savvy but the unit seems to run for a time (play) and then stops the disc from spinning. It’s like it reads ahead and then when it catches up with the song it activates again. I can only imagine it’s like it converts the CD to an MP3 player as it’s working. That might be one of the reasons why it has a great battery life once it’s charged and also it’s lack of (skipping?) when being moved. As for the EarPods supplied, excellent sound and very comfortable. I’d recommend it’s audio sound, it’s technology and the simplicity of its construction. Would be good to use for travelling. It will fit comfortably into a jacket or backpack pocket and it won’t catch on anything because of the sleekness of its design. All in all, a great little unit. I’m very happy with it and I’d recommend it.

Really happy with my purchase, for some reason I thought it had a speaker (it doesn’t) maybe because I was looking at an other model that has speaker. Would have liked speakers for convenience but it’s not the end of the word. It works great with my Sony headphones on Bluetooth on my recent train journey. I was also able to store it in the carry case and place in my bag and without loosing the connection. The battery life is not as good as it suggests but it’s decent enough for general usage. Expensive for what it is but looks neat I guess and is simple to use. Its size is very compact can fit in a small handbag.
