TIP: Measure your hole size on your desk, if you have pre-existing holes. Or if you will be cutting your own holes, know the diameter of your hole saw. Just like these desk grommets come in different sizes, so do holes and hole saws :) With that being said, I did that previously and the desk grommets fit mostly perfect. There was nothing to create friction between the grommet and my wood desk, so I took some soft velcro and ran it around the sides. This worked perfect, and now requires more force to push the grommet out of the hole (handy for when you're pushing cords up from the bottom by yourself - and don't want to knock the grommet out). The construction is well made. For what it is, I expect it to last my lifetime and more. Had to out electrical tape on the outside to make it fit correctly and not fall off. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Use black electrical tape to make a snug fit *by M***. on Reviewed in the United States on January 12, 2018* Says 2 inches diameter, but is actually 1-15/16, so a 2 inch hole saw will result in a very loose fit. To counter this, I used 3/4 width black electrical tape to wrap around the grommet 5-6 times and this created a very tight fit.
