## Description

Well, the time for compromise is over. Now you can have it all - great sound, great looks, small size. The 5.1-channel home theater system surpasses all expectations for sound in a small package. The four satellite and the single center speakers each use a 3 polypropylene mid-range driver and a 3/4 aluminium dome tweeter. They can handle up 100 watts of power and have an impedance of 8 ohms. The satellite and center channel speakers handle frequencies from 110hz to 20khz 3db, with the crossover between the mid-range and tweeter drivers set to 3.5khz. The powered subwoofer features an 8 downward firing speaker driven by a 200 watt amplifier. It handles frequencies from 30hz to 150hz (-10dB) and uses a variable crossover from 40-150hz. The satellites measure only about 6.9 x 4.3 x 4.3 (HWD) and weigh about 2.9 lbs. Each, making them easy to mount almost anywhere. ## Questions & Answers

**Q: What are the dimensions of the individual speakers?  I'm espescially curious on the size of the center channel.**
A: The center channel is 4x9.5x4 Height, width, Depth respectively. The Subwoofer:12x10x12, The Satellites are :6x4x4

**Q: Could anyone recommend a set of towers to make this a 7.1 system?**
A: I would definitely agree.  Monoprice sells a set of two of the speakers separately for use on their own as a 2 channel system or as an add on to this 5.1 system to make it 7.1. They even sell the subwoofer separately as well if you ever want to upgrade to a true 7.2 system. Then everything will be perfectly matched.  Make sure to get the correct set of two Premium Monoprice speakers.  Monoprice also sells a lower quality standard 5.1 surround sound system and a set of two extras of that type as well. If you have the correct set, they will exactly match the speakers in the Monoprice Premium 5.1 surround sound speaker set.  I know this because I actually had what I thought was the correct one in my shopping cart only to find out it was the wrong set just before pulling the trigger.  So it's an easy mistake to make even when you've done a bunch of research.  I hope you enjoy your system.  They are absolutely amazing speakers.  My family is constantly amazed at how much information and nuance is embedded in soundtracks of our favorite movies and shows that we never heard with our  previous home theater system.  It's like a completely different experience now.  Good luck.

**Q: Could I use this with a receiver and what would I need to do to get it to work correctly?**
A: It will work with any 80-100w/ channel receiver.  Connect using banana plugs and 14 gauge speaker wire. Make sure to get the woofer spreaker  cable with a Y splitter. Monoprice website sells all the cables you need at a great price.  Better than amazon

**Q: What speaker stands work with the Monoprice 10565?**
A: Any stand will work. I purchased wall mounts for my surround speakers.
