Okay, that's the good stuff. The bad stuff is listed on the side of the package, a rather depressing series of chemicals and artificial flavors. I said almond paste "tasting" for a reason, because almonds are not one of the ingredients (they do admit that). Neither is chocolate, really, just cocoa mixed with margarine made from palm oil. Is that allowed to be called "chocolate"? Isn't "chocolatety" the appropriate word when there's zero cocoa butter in the coating? And the raspberry jelly between the layers? Uh . . . nope, not a raspberry to be found on the ingredients list. So, how can it be called "raspberry jelly" rather than "artificial raspberry flavored goo"? What we have here tastes like a real rainbow cookie you might find in a bakery, but it's actually a chemical factory product. If you can live with that, they do taste good. Since moving away from Long Island many years ago, I've always missed these cookies. I came upon these though and they are exactly like the King Kullen ones that I grew up on. Five stars all the way. Price might seem expensive but they are totally worth it.
