Her tie rod ends were super worn and making a lot of noise and causing shaking when breaking. I was concerned about replacing these because I thought it was going to cause me to have to get an alignment afterwards. Before removing the old ones, I took a bunch of measurements to make sure I could get it back in adjustment afterwards. I removed each tie rod end by simply unscrewing it from the steering rack rod, but leaving the lock nut in exactly the same place. Upon comparing these to the OEM ends, I was excited to see that they were precisely the same length from the center of the ball joint to the end that touches the lock nut. I was simply able to screw the new ones back on to bottom out against the lock nuts still in the original position and tighten everything back down. It's nice they have a grease zirk on the top to allow you to keep them lubricated in the future. Super easy job that went way better than expected due to the OE exact sizing of these tie rod ends. After installation I took the car for a drive and everything was perfectly aligned still and the steering wheel perfectly centered.
