It’s black, and the base has a good weight to it. Should not easily slide or tip. The long gooseneck is like the ribbed pipes, easily bends and stays in place. Good height stretching ip 11 inches, to accommodate people of all sizes.. children included. The microphone has a foam covering. I like the added features on the base, including a volume dial and a mute button with a LED light indicator to visibly show when Mike is “hot” or not. We’ve used a few times and am very happy with sound quality and ease of use. The flexible neck makes it easy to adjust for comfort so you don’t have to lean in. The mute button works ok.
