It was nice and easy to put together. I love the health aspects of the New Zealand pinewood and no-toxic paint even though I believe it's made in China. I previously bought a barely used organic mattress off criagslist, fits perfectly. We are first time parents, waiting for baby to arrive. If you are looking for this style of crib, you can not go wrong with this purchase and what a great price compared to others I've seen! It's just not necessary to spend that much on a crib, and it seems these days people are overspending on items, especially when it comes to having babies. Let's not forget they grow out of them!! I think this crib will also have great resale value. The only reason I did not buy a used one, was b/c of the drop down side factor.
