At the time I ordered it, there was no alternative, but I think now you can find a better touch screen at this size. The background is not very black, the control GUI is a nightmare (using numbered buttons and not the touch screen) and then the failures.... one of the backlights has been failing for a while, and then most recently I am getting touch 'echoes' so I press one place and I get extra touches repeating up the screen.
