After struggling with our old ones (1 on each side of the bed) not being able to set the alarm accurately (not good) or the time, in desperation I purchased two of this item. We are each over 80 so I was looking for something that was simple and intuitive. This clock radio qualifies in all areas. It's easy to set the time, the alarm, even the radio station. The instructions are easy to follow, and once you've done that, everything falls into place. The clock radio is light-weight, doesn't take up much space, has a display that can light the room or be turned down to very faint, and reasonable reception on the FM radio stations. I would buy it again and/or recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat. Oh, and the price is right too! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent dual alarm digital alarm clock. Good FM reception too! *by M***R on August 15, 2024* Excellent bedside dual alarm clock radio. This unit replaced an alarm clock that I'd had for close to 20 years and wasn't sure it would be up to it. Well it's more than up to it and at an amazing price. Dual alarms a must and they work great! The FM reception was also excellent, a pleasant surprise (since I usually wake to the radio), clear and bright sound, not audiophile stuff, but nice FM radio. I love the brightness adjustment, works as described and I can really dim the display when I'm sleeping and brighten it during the day for easier visibility. The instructions are pretty good, only one fix - if your alarm sound is the FM radio you must touch the FM button to turn it off (when using the regular alarm you can touch any button, but only the FM button will turn off the alarm if you use alarm setting 2 - the radio to wake you). Other than that everything works very well and per the description. Big, easy to read display, easy to set and set/reset the alarms, snooze works well, USB port on the back is added touch, nice FM radio, great price. Yes, it's plastic construction and this isn't an artwork, but it's extremely functional, easy to use, and it's a bedside alarm clock. Battery backup works too, I unintentionally unplugged it during some cleaning and when plugged back in it was on time with the alarms in place and ready to go. At this price, with all the functions it's a great bedside alarm clock with dual alarms (a must have in my case) and I'm very happy with this purchase. If I need to replace the clock radio in the guest room in the future, it will probably another one of these clock radios. The numbers are large and bright, and one can read them across the room without glasses. If you do not like it bright, (I do!), there is a dimmer. If you want to hit the ceiling when the alarm goes off, (I don't!), set it on the beep or tone. The radio sounds good, the item seems to be well-made, and I was impressed with the design and smaller size.At the top of this nice instruction card, it reads: "How to Set Time/Alarm/Radio?" It was their question mark, not mine, but I began to claim it later. I found trouble at the very first. On top on the left, there are two sliding buttons that will give you the option of having the weekend alarm setting at a different time than weekdays. That impressed me, and I set the buttons for this option first. However, this prevented me from setting the time and anything else. (Spoiler Alert: Set the time and the day BEFORE messing with these sliders.) I had an easy time setting the time but had a little trouble setting the day of the week. Next, I turned on the radio and set it to my getting-up station; the DJ was on an interesting subject, so I left it on. Nuh-huh! I could not set the alarms unless the radio was off. I'll not spoil any other surprises.I plan to keep this alarm/radio, because for the money, it is a good deal.
