I think it would be ok though. Its pretty bright and is a full spectrum light. You can also adjust the brightness. **Q: The light has three options- yellow/white, blue/white, and blue. The timer only adjusts for yellow/white and blue. What is the blue/white used for?** A: I use it for a few hours at night.
