It's exactly the same material, now my son cannot boast about the material being the reason why his is expensive. The only difference is the styling and the absence of Nike swoosh. Now styling, I must say this is very much in style but not overly styled that looks cheap. Then the fit, beware, this is SLIM fit which means SLIM so if you are fat or overweight or have more skin than the average, you will want to order 2 size up if you will insist. To be more precise if I may say, one stone go up one size, two stone, go up 2 sizes. Just a reference, I am 5'6"/ a little over 9 stone with 29 inch waist, the small fits me perfect. What I also like to point out is that the calf portion of it is tight which is the look I want. Overall, very satisfied, my second pair BTW, my first one still good after 2 washings and put it in the dryer with minimal shrinkage, no ripped or hole so far.
