Allen Blackthorne has him beat by a light year. Why are these men able to attract women when they are such malignant narcissists? Women really need to spend a lot more time with men before they have children with them, because they can only keep up the facade for so long. There's no way I am blaming the victim because so many women have no idea that men so evil exist. It's just easier to get out of a bad marriage if children aren't involved ### ⭐⭐⭐ True Crime *by A***N on Reviewed in the United States on September 26, 2018* This was my first time reading an Ann Rule accounting of a true crime incident. The narrative seemed to be very detailed and hopefully accurate. It appears there are plenty of financial, employment and police reports to substantiate the timeline of events that occurred. Associates and participant statements are extensive adding the human element to this tragic obsession. The events that included the nosey Adlers made me wonder a bit as to who provided the details on what they actually did and reported to the murderer. The book is very interesting, flows at just the right speed to keep me reading, well written and held my attention until very end. True Crime TV shows, even the ones done on major networks often leave out what I would consider pertinent information regarding the investigation, however Ms Rule seems to cover all of the facts, surmises, deeds, consequences and results very well.I do intend to blend her books in with my other genres from time to time. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent True Crime *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States on August 12, 2018* Ann Rule's name is well-known to readers of true crime. She's one of the great authors in this genre. This book is made especially interesting because Sheila, the murder victim, had asked that her family request Ann to tell her story should she be murdered. Consequently, the family offered Ann a tremendous amount of information as a way to honor Sheila's wish. That made reading this book a richer than usual experience.
