However, I bought this tray for a week aboard underwater photography trip and the tray honestly is a fail. I bought it as a test because I liked the ability to have two mounts. One for a gopro and one for a camera. I intended to bring two single trays (one for me and one for my significant other) but in the rush to get out the door and pressed for room I took this tray and one single tray. Almost ruined my photography specific dive trip. The double tray mount you are asking about had both handles come apart (one early and one at the end of the trip) I had to wedge a piece of duct tape because the clamp mechanism was already tightened all the way and there was no more adjustment left to squeeze the clamp tighter so without some sort of shim it would not hold. Both ball mounts would never tighten and were constantly allowing my lights to swing around. Very distracting and a possibility to loose a light. Although it appears that it would take a hex key on the knurled nut side of the ball mount, that is not the case. So, you can only get it as tight as you can hand tighten it. I used the arm to try and get it tight, but no matter how tight I got it it would always work loose. Additionally the mounting screws that actually attach to the cameras rusted so they are not even stainless. So, all I can say is don't waste your money unless you are going to replace the hardware, modify the clamp system for the handles and take a big risk. It is cheap enough for parts - MAYBE!!! But if you are looking for an out of the box usable camera tray, this absolutely is not it. The materials on the screws, and screws threads should be stainless steel or brass with nickel or chrome plating, but they are not, but regular steel. This is causing them to rust and corrode instantly on contact with sea water, even when they were scrupulously rinsed out with fresh water and dried. These small material fixes should made to make this product last more than a few dives. Returning.
