The cold pack itself is 10 inches long and bends at each segment. The strap is quite stretchy, so can wrap it around the back of your head. **Q: Will these ice packs fasten around the knuckles/finger joints & stay in place to effectively treat that area or would the area be too small? Thanks.** A: The fastener works really well you would just have to keep your hand out straight and make sure the fastener is tight. So far I will wrap mine around my ankle and it doesn’t move at all. I really like mine cause I think you could use it for multiple things like your fingers to your head and legs. **Q: How cold do these get?** A: These packs get pretty cold and the included nicely manufactured pouch gives the gel packs a very nice standoff from your direct skin. If you prefer a colder application, you can place the gel packs directly against your skin.
