I love this case so far so good. Also when you install the case take your time the tabs don’t seem like they’d take much abuse so be careful, try not to break them. Besides that for the low price it’s absolutely worth it! Review: actual metal. A good feel & protects well. Snaps on. Works with screen protector. - I was concerned at first about this but it turns out that this shell actually fits quite perfectly even a top a glass screen protector. It looks amazing and it gives a nice feel to the console and it protects it quite well. I would be careful if you buy one because it uses a similar snap-on system to the plastic shells that you get for the Nintendo switch so if you're not careful you can damage the case. It is designed for the 2000 series PS Vita slim so make that note if you would. I would recommend this if you plan on modding or buying a PS Vita 2000 series and you want to take good care of it. ## Features - Metallic Faceplate Plastic Hard Case - Protects from bumps and scratches - Light-weight: 1.9 ounces - Fully access to PS Vita 2000 series (not for PSV 1000 slim version) ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00YAIRL0K | | Best Sellers Rank | #50,091 in Cell Phones & Accessories ( See Top 100 in Cell Phones & Accessories ) #47,028 in Cell Phone Accessories | | Brand | szjay | | Color | Gold | | Compatible Device Size Maximum | 20 centimeters | | Compatible Devices | Game Consoles | | Compatible Phone Models | PS VITA 2000 | | Customer Reviews | 4.1 out of 5 stars 470 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | Aluminum, Plastic | | Form Factor | Case | | Item Dimensions | 8.05 x 4.1 x 1.7 inches | | Item Weight | 2.88 ounces | | Manufacturer | szjay | | Material | Aluminum, Plastic | | Model Number | for ps vita 2000 | | Pattern | Solid | | Shell Type | Hard | | UPC | 647709215474 | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** szjay - **Color:** Gold - **Compatible Devices:** Game Consoles - **Form Factor:** Case - **Shell Type:** Hard ## Images ![Metal Aluminum Metallic Protection Hard Case Cover for PlayStation Ps Vita 2000 Slim (Gold) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51h+wZ4vrwL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just what I needed! *by D***S on April 27, 2023* A few reviewers mentioned the difficulty of pressing some buttons all you have to do is put a little more effort into pressing them but i honestly rather have the protection which this case gives my vita! I love this case so far so good. Also when you install the case take your time the tabs don’t seem like they’d take much abuse so be careful, try not to break them. Besides that for the low price it’s absolutely worth it! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ actual metal. A good feel & protects well. Snaps on. Works with screen protector. *by S***O on September 2, 2026* I was concerned at first about this but it turns out that this shell actually fits quite perfectly even a top a glass screen protector. It looks amazing and it gives a nice feel to the console and it protects it quite well. I would be careful if you buy one because it uses a similar snap-on system to the plastic shells that you get for the Nintendo switch so if you're not careful you can damage the case. I was very excited to receive this but was very disappointed to see that the gold one is not new like I had hoped. It came opened, ripped and had visible scratches on the actual back of the casing so I ended up placing another order and awaiting its arrival. The green one came in better shape and looks very nice just not as bold a color like the description images though. It's a very muted lime green color. The case is all light weight plastic ZERO aluminum material here unfortunately, just an aluminum like paint on the colored areas. I don't see this plastic case being a good protector for the device with multiple accidental drops so it's best to have a strap attached to your PS Vita. The case comes in two parts, front and back casing that lock together shut with small short tabs inside. The tabs that lock the case together are very small and I can see why many have problems with them snapping off easily, especially those who take the case on and off constantly. I installed this on my black PS Vita that has an all body carbon fiber skin with tempered glass screen protector and was pleasantly surprised that the case fit perfectly with it. Slow installation is key with this case as the small locking tabs are fragile. The only parts that don't seem to lock as tightly are the very small tabs on the top of the casing near the on/off and volume buttons. The casing seems solid once properly installed and actually feels nice to hold and doesn't add too much weight to the device imo. I had zero problems moving the analog sticks with my silicone caps attached to them. The on/off, PS, Select and Start buttons are a bit of a struggle to press due to how flushed these buttons are in the device with the added raised casing. I have small fingers and I still struggled a bit pressing these buttons. This can fit in the Hori PS Vita hard case so that's a plus. Overall I'm happy with this product and hopefully my replacement order comes in just a good shape as the green one I received. Update: Just received the other orders of colors of this shell case and have to say it's a hit or miss as far as quality control. The sky blue has the color painting chipping off in the back. A little disappointed as it was one of the colors I really wanted, it is worse than the gold color's condition. ## Frequently Bought Together - Szjay ® Metal Aluminum Metallic Protection Hard Case Cover for PlayStation Ps Vita 2000 Slim (Gold) - Funturbo Ultimate Version SD2Vita 5.0 Memory Card Adapter, PS Vita PSVSD Micro SD Adapter PSV 1000/2000 PSTV FW 3.60 HENkaku Enso System - Xahpower PS Vita 2000 Screen Protector, 9H Tempered Glass Front Screen Protector and HD Clear PET Back Screen Protective Film for Sony PlayStation Vita 2000 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/38532117-metal-aluminum-metallic-protection-hard-case-cover-for-playstation-ps](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/38532117-metal-aluminum-metallic-protection-hard-case-cover-for-playstation-ps) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
