Aponogeton capuronii is an excellent aquarium plant as the central focal point in a planted aquarium, displaying green leaves that have undulating margins. Aponogeton capuronii is similar in appearance to Aponogeton ulvaceous, but smaller. Aponogeton capuronii, like other bulb plants, will sometimes go dormant to the bulb stage of the plant. Is this normal or is the bulb rotting?** A: If it's just algae the bulb may not be rotting. I did however have a bulb that rotted, a slime coating developed and the bulb turned black. Sometimes this happens. I am very excited to have this plant in my tank. As with all plants, there is always a risk that the plant won’t like the new water chemistry. I ordered a bulb and it arrived as an amazing three bulb cluster. Unfortunately it did not survive, but I contacted the seller and they sent a new bulb set very quickly. As you can see by the photos, the plant is beautiful and healthy, with new growth and strong roots.
