I never tried a plastic cork but I don’t see wjy it won’t work as long as the opener can hold the plastic cork firmly **Q: Does this come in a box?** A: Yes, this Franmara Champagne Opener comes in a cardboard box (on the bottom) with a plastic cover (on the top) **Q: How dose it work?** A: Place the device over top of the cork and squeeze.
