We wanted something besides a standard sign and this is perfect for us. It's sturdy and colorful. We put it in a flower pot and it looks great, as well as gets the message across in a fun way. We've had it up for nearly a year. It blends in nicely with the surroundings and you can tell that it's a sign if you look closely- but unfortunately because the sign is fairly small and low to the ground, it is easily overlooked. We have this in the grass at the start of our long driveway (trying to help solicitors avoid the lengthy trek to our house), but it hardly stopped any. In early November we purchased a tiny plaque which hangs next to the doorbell, and that has stopped all solicitors. We still get fliers left on our porch, but at least our doorbell is silent and the dogs can rest easy!I think this sign may work more effectively in a yard that does not have a large amount of greenery, or where this can be more prominent. I think it would be better on a path or walkway, perhaps in bark or gravel. It may be fine near blooming flowers as well, depending on the amount/type of foliage.
