## Description

This KATA Lock Installation Kits include an adjustable guide template for easy and exact drilling with snap-lock arms for selecting door width and backset as well as two hole saws and an arbor with a pilot drill. The guide template fits 1-3/8-inch and 1-3/4-inch thick doors and 2-3/8-inch and 2-3/4-inch backsets. This kit is designed for use on wood doors and is constructed out of high carbon-steel.

Review: Great kit for a great price, worked well! - This is a great kit and has given me exactly what I needed to convert some older doors into modern hardware. I had to redrill the latch bore because it was too small in all of the doors, and sometimes had to redrill the recessed hole for the latch because it wasn't lined up or deep enough. Attaching it to the door with screws before drilling kept everything steady and made the process much faster. Sometimes the nut that holds the saw in place comes a little loose, but I just need to be careful to tighten that more before use.
Review: Cost efficient and effective - I was doing this for the first time as a DIY and the results turned out better than I had expected. There are some concerns when using it such as the hole guide being wobbly if you are using the guide extended. I extended the guide to 2-3/4" backset and there really is no locking mechanism (at least that I could see via instructions), so preferably pre-drill the center point before going straight in to avoid misplacement. The hole saws worked well but I do see them not lasting if you are doing a lot of doors. As some have mentioned also, make sure you double check and measure that its centered because it doesn't exactly fit flush, and sometimes has gaps on both sides. I won't fault the product though because it got the job done.

**Q: Will the small saw work on the door jamb?  Contractor made those too shallow so the deadbolt won't fully extend.**
A: Dear customer, thanks for your question! This kit can work well on the soft wood doors for installing for a door lock. But we are not so sure that which kind of door jamb did you want to drill? First you need put the plastic frame on it for the center point. Then you can use the hole saw for drilling a hole.

**Q: Will this work on interior doors?**
A: Yes. I just used it on an interior door. The adjustable plastic guide template fits 1-3/8-inch and 1-3/4-inch thick doors,fits 2-3/8-inch and 2-3/4-inch backsets.Follow the instructions carefully and it will work perfectly.
