Easy connections - I have a 9 Zone irrigation system that I needed to replace the broken manafold. I purchased this item as well as the 6 valve system and it’s great. Easy connections, and with the pre-installed O-Rings, trust me there’s no need to wrap Teflon tape around the threads before you tighten them. The solenoids are nice and sturdy and the wires are good quality, there stranded as most Pre-wired items are. It’s very interchangeable and easy to work with. My biggest fear was when I turn on the water, there would be leaks everywhere but not at all, once you tighten the connections nice and snug, NO LEAKS!!!!!!! Wow!!!!! I recommend this product to all that’s considering it and for all of those that’s on the fence like I was, get off the fence, it’s a great by and time saver and good quality. Review: A few years from now, You’ll be glad you spent the money - THIS IS WONDERFUL It seems like sprinkler values only last a few years and the manufactures “improve” the design so that it’s hard to get replacement parts. I’ve started using this style design a couple years ago and it’s made value replacements a breeze. I use to be that you had to cut the old out out, spend time trying to patch in a new value with a set of couplings and eventually, you have to repair the entire manifold THIS IS WONDERFUL - it installed quickly and looks great. I had an opportunity to test it out a few weeks later when one of the values was damaged by a “mis-shovel” (I cracked the value while I replaced a bush). Once you receive it you have to put it together so is you just add another 4 electric values to the main water feed, installing a 1" cap on the water main pipe after your 10th valve, all done. I would also bet if you contacted te seller, they would sell you everything you need for the 10 valve system, with a small increase in price for the extra parts. **Q: According to the rainbird web site, the dvf valves are not recommended for two wire control systems. any thoughts?** A: You have a 12 wire system If you wire each valve separate If valves were wired in parallel you would have a 2 wire system **Q: Are the connectors threaded, male or female, or slip joints?** A: Yes. 6 at top of image are 1" PVC slip joints. Works well. I did break one of the o-rings. I asked the reseller for the dimensions which he wasn't able or was unwilling to provide. Still looking for a replacement. I left the connection on the sprinkler side of the valve without the o-ring. To my surprise, when the sprinkler is running, no leaks! If they were forthcoming with the o-ring size, would give them 5 stars.
