**Q: Will this jack work for a 2017 dodge 2500 with the 6.7l cummins diesel?  it weighs approx 8,000lbs.**
A: Yes. Jacking up any wheel or front/back end your lifting half the 8000 lbs. total weight. The jack is rated 7000 lbs. It can almost lift the whole vehicle. Even the heavy end of the diesel should be no problem.

**Q: Hello seller!!! some sellers say their 36" is 31lbs. this says 33lbs? hard to believe. what is the exact weight of the 48"?**
A: Think it through.... quite simple.  48" jack is 12" longer - only difference.  Jack shaft is about 1/2" thick by 2" wide.  So 12 x 2 x 1/2 = 12 cu inches of extra steel at 0.29 lbs per cu inch = 3.48 lbs.  Now consider all the holes and assume that removes about 40% material so you have 3.48 x .6 (60%) = 2 lbs - and that's the weight difference....
