Will this keep my house from stinking?** A: For a LITTLE urine maybe-for a LOT of urine( from multiple "contributions", probably not. That's from personal experience. We just had a power outage and couldn't flush for a day (we have an electric well pump). This worked to moderate the odor of urine after the first few hours, but after that, when additional urine was added, AND a couple drops more of Fresh Day, it didn't cover the odor any more. Aside from that particular instance, a single drop has nearly always worked-for solids or liquids. In re. the parent's no-flush situation, it comes down to how serious your relationship is with their daughter, because although there several levels of attack for the problem, its still YOUR abode, not theirs. #1. get a product that automatically dispenses in the toilet tank,-such as bleach and blue water tablets. That way (with bleach water already sitting in the bowl) you at least have a head start on the problem before they make thirwe contributions. . #2. You could get a product that continuously self dispenses air freshener or odor neutralizer and park it VERY OBVIOUSLY close to the toilet when they are there.-maybe they'll take the hint. There are even some now that have an adjustable frequency setting so you could crank it to max when they come and turn it down when they leave. #3. Find out if you have an extremely low volume flush toilet installed if they will "consent" to flush THAT? #4 The potentially explosive "It's my/our house-MY/OUR rules, your house YOUR rules. I don't want MY/OUR house to stink." approach. (The upside to #4 is that you'll have a better read on how much your GIRLFRIEND values the relationship she has with YOU vs the one that she has with her PARENTS-on a MINOR conflict. AND also on how her parents view your relationship whith her. maybe they don't think it will last and are "testing" you for comittment?
