Working Principle of the Float Ball System: When the snorkel is fully above the water surface, the float ball sinks due to gravity, opening the snorkel and allowing air to enter, providing sufficient oxygen. When the snorkel is submerged, the float ball rises due to buoyancy, closing the snorkel opening to prevent water from entering. This design ensures breathing safety and comfort in different environments. 2. Waterproof Design: Please note that this product is only suitable for surface snorkeling. When diving underwater, the float ball system at the top of the snorkel automatically prevents water from entering. As soon as water contacts the snorkel, the float ball quickly rises, closing the snorkel opening to keep it dry and prevent choking. However, this will result in a lack of air in the snorkel, causing breathing difficulties. Therefore, users should return to the surface as soon as possible to avoid breathing difficulties. 3. Impact of Waves and Head Movements: On the sea surface, with waves or when the snorkeler is observing the seabed, if the head is tilted too far forward, the float ball will automatically adjust according to the water level. The design of the float ball allows it to rise and close the snorkel opening when it is below the water surface, preventing water from entering. 4. Blowing to Reset: If you dive underwater, remember to exhale (not inhale) while ascending to the surface to ensure the float ball descends again. Make sure the float ball moves freely within the snorkel and that the snorkel head is completely above the water surface before inhaling. There were no instructions. I ended up disconnecting one side of the head strap to thread it through the small holder plastic piece, then rethreaded the strap— a pain. But then that small plastic piece broke, so that while it was threaded and attached to the mask, it could not hold the tube... so I ended up attaching the snorkel tube with duct tape. Not a good design. It worked though... as an aside, we had bought three other snorkel sets, all from different manufactures, that had much better designs... but couldn’t tell until received them and tried to put them on **Q: Can you use this mask at 60 feet?** A: I haven't tried it that deep, but I can't see why not. It's quite sturdy and well made. Should be ok. **Q: To adjust the mask to your face is it a buckle clamp style?** A: I guess you would call it buckle style tightening. Here's video I took - with one hand. Hope it helps! **Q: Does this mask have a purge valve for water under the nose if not it is not a good mask for diving** A: No it does not. You have to purge the water the old fashion way, which is: blow air through you nose while slightly lifting the bottom of the mask. The air pressure will force most of the water out. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Buen producto *by P***O on 13 August 2021* Me han gustado mucho, van muy bien, a mi no se me han empañado y no me ha entrado agua en ellas, el tubo en muy cómodo, pero yo las uso como hobby para entretenerme y ver los peces en las rocas del mar a pocos metros de profundidad ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ nice fit for most faces *by S***T on 11 August 2021* Mask is clear with good viewing. Snorkel is a bit difficult to breathe through and may not be a first time users best choice. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So much better than I expected! (25 years of diving experience) *by R***A on 30 June 2026* This is the first cheap mask and snorkel combo I've had, and it's above and beyond what I expected in every way. I've been diving for 25 years, and had been using a $120 Cressi mask for the past few years. It was stolen unfortunately, and I decided to give this cheap mass produced, off-brand mask. Snorkel: On par with a $80 snorkel at your local dive shop. It keeps almost all water out when diving, and it's extremely easy to blow out once you surface. It's malleable, and the mouth piece is a bit smaller than I prefer it, but still feels great. Airflow is not constricted in any as one of the featured comments suggests. At least not for me. Mask: This is your basic diving mask with two individual panes of tempered glass. It's exactly what one should expect from a brand name entry level diving mask. It fits extremely well for me. I have wide cheekbones and a beard, and yet absolutely no leaks for me. It feels comofortable. The fog resistance is the same as the $75-$150 masks I've had in the past. Just make sure you prep the lenses once you receive your mask (look into the toothpaste method), and use an anti-fogger or baby shampoo & water or saliva on the inside of the lens before heading in the water to prevent fogging further. Lastly, it comes with a decent little mesh bag to carry the combo in. I can't speak on its durability yet as I only have 2 dives with it so far, but was compelled to review how much better this is than what I thought I was getting. ## Frequently Bought Together - Greatever Dry Snorkel Set,Panoramic Wide View,Anti-Fog Scuba Diving Mask,Professional Snorkeling Gear - Greatever Snorkel Fins Adjustable Buckles Open Heel Swim Flippers Travel Size Short Swim Fins for Snorkeling Diving Swimming Adult Men Womens - CAPAS Snorkel Fins, Swim Fins Travel Size Short Adjustable for Snorkeling Diving Adult Men Women Kids Open Heel Swimming Flippers --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/387505364-greatever-snorkeling-gear-for-adults-kids-dry-snorkel-mask-set](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/387505364-greatever-snorkeling-gear-for-adults-kids-dry-snorkel-mask-set) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-03*
